Dell’s recently launched Inspiron 5575 series is one of the latest laptops to feature an AMD Ryzen 5 CPU. The 5575 series is now available with Ryzen 3 and Ryzen 5 CPUs with different RAM, colour combinations and long battery life. Here’s our review of the Dell Inspiron 15 5575 laptop specifications and features.

Most parts of the laptop come with a metallic finish which gives it a premium look and feel. The build quality is solid and feels durable enough for long-term usage. The display resolution offered by the laptop is excellent at 1920×1080 which is good for a 15.6-inch LCD screen. It also comes with an anti-glare coating to improve readability in all light conditions. The brightness is good for regular daily usage. The Dell Inspiron 15 5575 features an HD camera which is located at the usual position.

Connectivity option on the laptop is pretty good with two US 3.0 and one USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, Ethernet, SD card slot, a microphone and headphone jack. The Dell Inspiron 15 5575 features a DVD writer so you can run DVDs and CDs on it. It also comes with a full-sized keyboard with a number pad. The trackpad is also quite spacious. The keys are tactile, responsive but are not backlit. The stereo speakers are placed at the bottom towards the front. The battery is not removable.

Graphics in the processor are handled by Radeon GPU and a base clock of 1,100MHz. The refresh rate is high and is supported by AMD’s FreeSync which when connected to a compatible monitor. The laptop has 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 1TB of hard drive, Bluetooth 4.1. The laptop comes with Windows 10 Home preinstalled with Microsoft Office 2016 Home and Student Edition and other useful software.

Dell Inspiron 15 5575 performance and battery life

The laptop runs smoothly and does not seem to lag when loading multiple apps. The Ryzen 5 is the best compared to other platforms. The integrated GPU is something that every gamer looking for in a laptop and it performs very well even when playing heavy games. The laptop does get a little warm, but that does not affect the performance of the laptop. You won’t have to worry about your laptop overheating even if you play high-graphic games. The display performs well and also plays 4K video files. The volume level is quite loud which gives you an immersive experience when playing games or watching movies on the laptop.

Battery life on the laptop is delivered about 4 hours on a single charge. On usual browsing, the laptop survives for a day long.

The Inspiron 15 5575 series is currently Dell’s only line-up with AMD Ryzen CPUs. The graphics performance of the laptop is good and can handle anything thrown at it.
